WJSFF’s sustained support of Prime, a charity that partners with philanthropists to invest charitable capital in companies that combat climate change, has helped mobilize a nearly $40 million dollar pool of 100% philanthropic capital. This is not high-risk investing; rather, it is leveraged grant making to activate venture capital investment for the purpose of social good.
In 2019, WJSFF provided $100,000 in funding for the implementation of programs involving early stage technology start-ups.

In our continued effort to provide clean water to often overlooked communities, WJSFF has partnered with Latinx Flint and donated Water Box 4 to Flint & Genesee County Michigan, where the pipes still leach lead. This Water Box, named in honor of Jada Pinkett-Smith, produces five gallons of water in 30 seconds and includes instructions in both English and Spanish for the community.
Jaden spoke on two panels about the impact of the green economy and environmental innovations: “Is Climate Change Making Us Sick?” and “70% Of The Planet,” at the Environmental Media Awards in May. Willow performed at the Environmental Media Association Honors Benefit Gala in September which honored activists for their work to end climate change.

people’s minds. We gotta
show people that we
really care about this.”

Jaden and Willow both performed for a crowd of 300,000 people at NYC’s Climate Strike, where young people, including Greta Thunberg, used their voices to demand that their representatives effectively address the climate crisis around the globe.
On Earth Day, Will, Jada, and Jaden discussed environmental issues and green tech innovations at Apple’s Cupertino campus, including JUST Water and the importance of corporate responsibility to green initiatives.

Jaden’s Water Box has provided clean drinking water to the residents in crisis in Flint, Michigan. Four Water Boxes have replaced over
plastic bottles of water and distributed more than 14,000 gallons of water in Flint.
The Water Box can filter 5 gallon jugs in 30 seconds.
